The House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly adopted today a matter of urgency amendments to the Law on Excise Duties Bosnia and Herzegovina related to shredded tobacco, and introducing specific excise tax on shredded tobacco, ie cigars and cigarillos, thus fulfilling the requirement for the Stand-by Arrangement with the International monetary Fund.

The solutions adopted to equalize the excise tax on raw tobacco and tobacco products, with the aim of ensuring the conditions for the protection of legitimate business people who settle the obligation, to stop the downward trend in revenues from excise taxes on tobacco products, control of illegal markets and harmonization of excise duties on various tobacco products.
